Our SMS Program
RGV Mobile X-Rays (“we,” “us,” “our”) sends text messages to patients to confirm receipt of a referral for mobile diagnostic imaging services (X-ray, ultrasound, etc.) ordered by their physician or facility, and to help coordinate scheduling. This policy describes how we handle the phone number and related information used for that texting program.
These text messages do not contain protected health information (diagnosis, treatment details, or exam results). They are limited to confirming that a referral was received and providing a phone number to call for scheduling.
How We Obtain Your Number and Consent
As part of your referring clinic or physician’s office’s patient intake process, you give that clinic permission to share your contact information with referral sources — including RGV Mobile X-Rays — so that we can provide the medical imaging services requested by your physician. That intake process advises you that referral sources may contact you by phone, text, or email. Your phone number is provided to us by that clinic or facility as part of this existing referral relationship — not collected through a website sign-up form. You may opt out of receiving texts at any time (see below). Agreeing to receive text messages is never required in order to receive imaging services from RGV Mobile X-Rays — you will receive the services requested by your physician regardless of your texting preferences.
Information We Collect
- Your name and phone number, as provided by the referring physician/facility
- The content and delivery status of messages we send you
- Your opt-out status, if you reply STOP
How We Use This Information
Solely to send you the referral-confirmation and scheduling-related text messages described above, and to honor opt-out requests.
How We Share This Information
We do not sell, rent, or share your mobile phone number or SMS opt-in/consent information with any third party for marketing or promotional purposes. We share this information only with:
- Our SMS delivery provider (currently Twilio), solely to transmit the messages on our behalf
- Others, if required by law
Message Frequency & Costs
Message frequency varies based on your referral activity. Message and data rates may apply, per your mobile carrier plan.
Opting Out
Reply STOP to any message at any time to stop receiving texts from us. Reply HELP for assistance. You can also call us directly at 956-783-9779.
