We obtain your mobile number, and your permission to text you, directly from you — never from the physician or facility that referred you. We ask you ourselves, in one of two ways.
Verbally, on a call we place to you. When we call to arrange your imaging appointment, our staff ask whether it is okay to text you about appointment reminders and future requests from your doctor, and tell you that messages come from 844-758-0661, that we send roughly two to four messages per appointment, that message and data rates may apply, and that you can reply STOP at any time. We wait for a clear spoken yes, read your mobile number back to you, and record your answer on your patient record.
In writing, on our SMS Consent Form. The form carries the same disclosures and is signed and dated by you, or by your authorized representative. A clinic that refers patients to us may give you the form as part of its welcome packet, but the permission on it is given by you, to RGV Mobile X-Rays — the clinic does not give permission on your behalf.
Agreeing is never a condition of receiving your imaging or any other care, and declining does not affect your appointment, your care, or your billing in any way.
We do not collect numbers through a website sign-up form, and a referral from your physician’s office is not by itself permission for us to text you — we ask you ourselves. You may opt out at any time (see below).
Information We Collect
- Your name and phone number, as provided by the referring physician/facility
- The content and delivery status of messages we send you
- Your opt-out status, if you reply STOP
How We Use This Information
Solely to send you the referral-confirmation and scheduling-related text messages described above, and to honor opt-out requests.
How We Share This Information
We do not sell, rent, or share your mobile phone number or SMS opt-in/consent information with any third party for marketing or promotional purposes. We share this information only with:
- Our SMS delivery provider (currently Sinch), solely to transmit the messages on our behalf
- Others, if required by law
Message Frequency & Costs
Message frequency varies based on your referral activity. Message and data rates may apply, per your mobile carrier plan.
Opting Out
